The receipt of Kong toys through this grant provided us with enrichment opportunities for the dogs in our care. The dogs love Kongs stuffed with treats and food, and we often freeze them to provide a longer-lasting enrichment opportunity.

Vega came to Last Hope heartworm-positive. During treatment, dogs who are heartworm-positive must be on kennel rest. Providing Vega with stuffed Kong toys gave her mental stimulation to help her from going stir crazy in her kennel.
