Siouxland Humane Society: Sponsor a Pet Grant Report
How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?
The money was used for our own sponsor-a-pet program. When a person sponsors a pet, that money can go towards adoption fees, spay/neuter expenses or other vetting that may need to be done.
The donations help us find homes for pets that some people feel are less desirable because of age or medical concerns.

Bane is a dog who was at our shelter for several months. He had an injury to his paw after another dog bit him. He received medical treatment, and once he was healed up he was ready for adoption. Unfortunately it took a couple months for the right family to find him. Some of the money we received went towards his medical bill and adoption fee. He was finally adopted by a wonderful family and he has become the light of their lives. They have given us updates about how well he has adjusted, and he continues to be a wonderful addition to their family!
