Stretch and Scratchers for shelter cats

These Stretch and Scratchers are used for the shelter cats and kittens in our Intake Room. This is a great enrichment product for the cats in condos. It allows them to stretch and scratch and sometimes do a little chewing. We send the scratchers home with the adopters too!

How many pets did this grant help?

So far, 55 cats and kittens have loved their Stretch and Scratchers. One box has been used and we still have some left in the 2nd box.

This is a picture of Lila using her Stretch and Scratch. Lila came into the shelter as an owner surrender looking a little more than pitiful. She had a tremendous amount of hair loss down her back due to fleas and it also looked like she has been bitten by something in several places. Since she has been at the shelter receiving great food, water and the use of her Stretch and Scratch, she is gaining weight and her fur is finally growing back. Lila will be ready for adoption very soon!
