How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

The money was used to purchase a HVAC system for our secondary building where some of our dogs are kept.

This grant has helped keep the dogs in our care cool during our hot summer months. It has also helped with our electrical bills since we have to run fewer floor fans to circulate the air from a single window A/C unit like before. Saving money on electrical bills frees up more money to spend on caring for our dogs.

This has specifically helped a dog named Scarlett, who is the queen of that secondary building. She gets hot very easily and the new HVAC system keeps the temperature in her building very comfortable for her and whoever her roommate or roommates are.
