How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

We purchased 12 large wading pools for the dogs' exercise yard. For some reason, local retailers did not stock them as soon as expected, but we have now received all 12.

Though we have several canopies stretched across the exercise yard, it is still very hot on the artificial-turf surface. The dogs can easily drink, splash, or soak in the pools, and they LOVE it.

How many pets did this grant help?

It varies from time to time, depending on adoptions, but at average, our capacity is 20.

Lady, a 6-year-old miniature poodle, enjoys the pool in her area. She heads for it whenever she is outside. She is awaiting her spay and a dental before she can be adopted, but we anticipate a quick adoption as soon as she recuperates and is advertised.
