How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

25 Kong toys were received and distributed to pets in our foster care.

Kongs are an amazing, indestructible gift to help with encouraging socialization and play in foster dogs who sometimes have never even had a single toy and are very unsure of their situation. Kongs are also used as a way to create better foster engagement with our network of volunteers and to help defray some of the expense of their having to provide toys in addition to food, love and transportation to weekly adoption events. Everyone appreciates them!

Our best Kong success story is with Rena (first and second photos), who was just adopted this week! She was waiting for her furever home for 230 days and was playing with her Kong at an adoption event (showing off her cookie-extraction skills) when her new family first noticed her! Angels truly believes that seeing her so happy is what made her stand out that day. Here are some other wonderful Petfinder pets enjoying their toys!
