Nala's New Life Rescue: COVID-19 Operation Grant Report
How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?
Our grant was used to pay veterinary bills for a few dogs in our rescue who were in need.
This grant helped Nala's New Life Rescue and our dogs substantially because, due to COVID-19, we are not able to hold fundraisers. We rescue dogs from a rural shelter and the dogs all need full veterinary care.
How many pets did this grant help?
This grant helped four dogs.
Please provide a story of one or more specific pets this grant helped.
Hallie (first and second photos) was a 4-week-old puppy who was found locked in an abandoned trailer by Okeechobee Animal Control. She was loaded with fleas, needed vaccines and a microchip, and had a skin infection and parasites. We used the grant to treat her and she is now adopted.
Tinka (third photo) is an 8-week-old puppy who was found abandoned by Okeechobee Animal Control. She had a swollen eye and needed vaccines and deworming and will be getting spayed and microchipped when she is old enough. She is still up for adoption.
