How many pets did this grant help?

This helped the three dogs who were sponsored.

Please provide a story of one or more specific pets this grant helped.

Ana (first photo) is a shih tzu who came to us after she was found as a terrified stray in the middle of a busy road, matted and heartworm-positive. After her grooming, she looked like a different dog. She was placed in a foster home and began the treatment for heartworm. Her new parents met her while she was still undergoing treatment and waited patiently for her to be ready for adoption. She is now living happily ever after!

Charlie (second and third photos) came to us as a 10-year-old senior Cockapoo. We realized immediately that he had issues with his eyes and got him in to see the eye doctor. After Charlie underwent months of treatment with multiple medications, the eye doctor advised us that the best option was to remove his right eye, as it was not visual and was causing pain. Once the eye was removed, Charlie was much happier. He is now loving life with his new mom and especially loves going for rides in the convertible!

Simon (fourth photo) is a 1-1/2-year-old Jack Russell/poodle. He was adopted as a puppy but he did not do well with the other male Jack Russell in the home. He is very high-energy, housetrained, and knows how to sit, shake paws and walk well on a leash. He loves to snuggle, especially in bed with his person.
