How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

We applied the awarded funds for operational costs of our Pet Adoption Center (PAC). Our annual expenses are $375,000, which we fund through donations, grants, adoption fees, and sponsorships.

We house approximately 100 pets in our facility each month who need additional care or treatment, as well as those who are "adoption-ready." The operational expenses include staffing, supplies, utilities, food, and veterinary care.

One of our long-term residents, Airabelle, has been at the PAC for nine months waiting for her forever home, and we can happily report she was finally adopted in November! She is an active pittie mix for whom we were unable to find a foster home, so we are so grateful that we have the PAC in which we could keep her and provide enrichment activities until she found her forever family. Without the facility, we would have been unable to help Airabelle find her happily-ever-after!
