Tri County Animal Rescue: Disaster Grant Report

How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

This grant helped the animals we took in after the hurricane. Our power was out, but the phones kept ringing from other organizations on the west coast and Puerto Rico needing help. We took in 130 animals in two weeks.

How many pets did this grant help?

Please provide a story of one or more specific pets this grant helped.

Congo had serious skin, eye, and ear infections (first two photos). He was the first to use the grant money, as his condition was putting him into a deep depression and his dehydration levels were making it hard for him to stand on his own.

Now, after treatment, he is strong, goofy and looking for a special home to give him all the cuddles he deserves (third photo).

Glory (fourth photo) a senior pet taken in and found to have inoperable cancer but before finding that out a biopsy was performed. She is now in fospice with a lovely family.
