Rescue Animals in Need, Inc.: COVID-19 Operation Grant Report

How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

The $500 was used to assist in paying the medical costs for the many kittens we have taken in this season during Covid-19.

The extra funds allowed us to assist many more kittens than we normally would have been able to afford. With the addition of the new fosters who were home during the pandemic and this money, we have taken in and adopted out 50% more kittens in the last three months than last year.

Please provide a story of one or more specific pets this grant helped.

Ceridwen is a 2-year-old female patch tabby whom we rescued from [an open-intake] shelter along with her five kittens. Ceri then adopted four additional kittens and was a fabulous mother for all nine! Now all of the kittens have been adopted and it’s Ceri’s turn. Her spay is now done thanks to the grant, and she is ready to go home. You can meet Ceri here.
