Please provide a story of one or more specific pets this grant helped.

Our bill from the Mt. Dora Veterinary Hospital for the month of January was $1,576.63. This charge covered several of our dogs, but the dog who clearly needed their services the most was Dingo.

Dingo was a stray who had been hit by a car. A good Samaritan took him to a shelter; however, the shelter asked AFHAR to take him.

Damage from the car accident required Dingo’s teeth to be wired together to allow his mouth to heal and strengthen. His surgery cost $938. Dr. Beau Delaporte reduced the price of the surgery for us.

After healing, Dingo was adopted by Shannon Watts to his forever home. Thank you, Petfinder Foundation, for helping to make this happen.
