San Diego Humane Society: Kia Pet Adoption Grant Report

How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

Grant funding was used to provide reduced-fee adult dog and cat adoptions to our
community from June 24-26. The adoption promotion was offered at our campus locations in San Diego, Escondido, Oceanside, and El Cajon.

We are happy to report that the Petfinder Foundation's support helped us find homes for 27 adult dogs and 35 adult cats during the weekend adoption promotion. While not part of the grant, an additional 24 adult pets also found homes over the weekend (8 guinea pigs, 8 rabbits, 7 reptiles, and 1 hamster).

Lilo is a beautiful Labrador retriever/shepherd mix who had been in San Diego Humane Society’s care since May.

She was adopted during the Petfinder Foundation’s sponsored adoption promotion, along with 26 other adult dogs and 35 adult cats.
