How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

The camera and software have been used to improve the photographs taken of our adoptable pets. Our volunteers also attended the workshop and have had a refreshed vigor in the photography project.

We now have a photography team in place. They take great pictures to post on petfinder as well as using the tip about posting photos on the kennels to help generate adoption interest.

How many pets did this grant help?

TBD - no exact number yet but I believe it has helped all of the adoptable animals we serve.

Julie was a young German Shepherd mix. When she was picked up in the field she was scared and acting aggressively. Her intake picture was at the end of a catch pole. After our stray holding period was up volunteer assessed her and took much better photographs. It was less than 12 hours after she hit our adoption floor that she was adopted!
