Dawg Squad: COVID-19 Operation Grant Report
How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?
Dawg Squad took in some medical-needs dogs from May through July and the money was used to help pay for their veterinary bills.
This grant was a big help in that we rarely like to say no to dogs in need. It's been tough with Covid, since the city shelters aren't taking in strays. We've been the only resource some citizens had to help with their dogs. The city shelter staff have also called upon us to pull dogs that were in need of medical care. Thank you for helping us help the dogs.

Please provide a story of one or more specific pets this grant helped.
Greta was at the North Central shelter in Los Angeles (it has since been closed by the general manager during COVID) with a horrible pelvic fracture. We were called by the general manager of the shelter, who asked if we could pull her and take care of her. Of course we had to say yes. And yes, she has been adopted!
