How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

The funds allowed spcaLA to purchase food and enrichment items for our shelter pets as well as our pets that are currently in foster care.

Since 1877, spcaLA has provided high-quality care, programs and services for animals in need thanks to the kindness and generosity of individuals, corporations and foundations like the Petfinder Foundation. While we are fortunate that we have received this type of support from our donors over the years, there is a greater need for support during this worldwide pandemic. As an essential business, spcaLA has not closed our doors and continues to support the homeless and abused animals of Southern California. Your gift was applied for the overall care and service for animals in need during COVID-19.

Jewels a pit bull mix who came to spcaLA as a stray and soon after gave birth to five puppies. We continued to shelter, feed, and provide care for Jewels and her five puppies until they all found their forever homes.
