James Franco is a happy-go-lucky boy who stumbled on some bad luck after being bitten by another dog in a dog park. When those injuries weren’t healing quite right, they exposed some significant underlying autoimmune issues which resulted in severe skin lesions body-wide.

This boy has a fighter’s spirit in him and didn’t want to give up, so after multiple trips to the dermatologist, he was prescribed a lifelong medication regimen to keep him comfortable and functional.

While this medication was helping him, it was quite expensive and a barrier for most adopters who were interested in him. Thanks to this grant from the Petfinder Foundation, we were able to sponsor the medication for a full year and get this boy officially adopted into the forever home he so greatly deserved.
