Promise 4 Paws: Kia Pet Adoption Grant Report

We were able to help or completely reduce adoption fees on 11 pets total with this grant! We were able to reduce adoption fees on Bo and on Adele and her eight puppies, and waive Midnight's adoption fee altogether.

How many pets did this grant help?

10-15

Please provide a story of one or more specific pets this grant helped.

Midnight (first photo), a tripod missing one of his front legs, was adopted by a family from Tennessee. His new mom flew out to California and rented a car to drive home with him (second photo). She has an injury similar to his, so it was a perfect match.

She writes: “Midnight, now Ash, is currently sprawled across my lap like the world’s heaviest lap dog. We did settle in about two months ago. He and Nola (third photo) play every day, which is still shocking to me, and she still hates how he tries to sleep across our pillows every night. Ash follows me everywhere I go. He has so much love and is a true snuggler. Our daughter Raven loves him so much it is beautiful. He really is the luckiest rescue on earth. Every day we marvel at how strong he is with what he is. It’s amazing.”

Adele and her eight pups (fourth photo) were rescued in February; Adele was suffering from pancreatitis so she needed help feeding her pups. All the pups are now adopted (photos 5 through 7) and Adele is going to her forever home in two weeks.

Our boy Bo is now living his best life with his new family (eighth photo).

Thank you so much for providing these funds to help our rescue.
