Dachshund Rescue of Los Angeles: Sponsor a Pet Grant Report

How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

We bought belly bands to keep the foster placements for boy dogs from failing. When they couldn't mark on their possessions, the fosters were likely to keep them longer.

Many of the dogs in our rescue are male.

How many pets did this grant help?

Please provide a story of one or more specific pets this grant helped.

$90 purchased nine belly bands, which helped ensure the foster success of male dogs like Nacho (pictured). Nacho has been adopted. From his Petfinder profile: “Nacho and his friend Roxy’s family grew up and and left them behind in their life phase, so they were lonely. They are looking for a home where people will be at home more, and have time to appreciate their beauty and great personalities. Good with kids and other dogs, say their former owner. Fond of men. Lovely clean fangs, healthy and happy. Good natured. Smooth Chocolate purebred dachshund Nacho (3) and awesome purebred wire hair chocolate dapple doxie Roxy (6) are a bonded pair. They are very affectionate and sweet. They love everyone except our cat. They are playful and comical and have great personalities and would make a great addition.”
