C.A.R.E., aka. Cat/Canine Assistance, Referral & Education: Sponsor a Pet Grant Report

How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

Veterinary medical bills

We care for many animals who are older or have medical conditions but who still enjoy a good quality of life in a loving, cage-free environment. The grant helps us to pay for their medical care.

Please provide a story of one or more specific pets this grant helped.

Molly (first photo) was abandoned in the desert. We discovered that she suffered from a congenital knee condition which would render her crippled without surgery. The surgery was done by our orthopedic doctor and today she is happy and pain-free. Meet Molly: https://www.petfinder.com/petdetail/26383507

Neco (second photo) came to us after being passed around to different families. He was suffering from uncontrolled diabetes. His condition is now under control and he enjoys his life in a great foster home. Meet Neco: https://www.petfinder.com/petdetail/29905200

The two kitties, Blue (third photo) and Starr (fourth photo) are both positive for FeLV. We have a separate ward for FeLV-positive kitties, where they live in a small, cage-free community and receive special care. Meet Blue: https://www.petfinder.com/petdetail/31668319; meet Starr: https://www.petfinder.com/petdetail/30300352
