Charlie Nitro is 7 years old and came to us in August of 2018. He was adopted from the shelter and then left in a yard to fend for himself. He was being eaten alive by fleas and flies and totally emaciated. He was losing his hair and basically just waiting to die until the gas-company lady saw him. This kind woman shared her lunch with him and told him she’d be back for him. She then found The Little Red Dog friend, foster, and cohort and a great friend to all animals, Karla Schneider Boss, and asked for guidance on how to get him. Karla was able to tell her what to say and the owner surrendered him. Karla nursed him back to health. Once healthy, he was adopted a month later.
