We have seven large dogs who are in a boarding facility awaiting their forever homes. This grant helped us cover their food and lodging costs. Pictured is Minerva. From her Petfinder profile: “Minerva has had a rough life. This 3-year-old girl was not only emaciated but unable to eat because of severe jaw problems. Fortunately, she is doing better now and has gained much-needed weight. She currently weighs almost 64 lbs. She also has an injury to her eye which seems to be an old injury and does not affect her. Although Minerva has been through so much, she is really sweet. She loves to snuggle and give kisses and is a very happy dog. She is currently enrolled in a training program to help her with her manners, but she will need someone who will be able to keep her active.
