How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

The grant allowed us to have free pet adoptions, which allowed us to find more pets' homes. We were over-filled when we received the grant. Our shelter is in a low-income area and the people who live in the area do take very good care of their pets. But lowering the fees allowed more people to be able to adopt.

The grant helped 20 pets, but it really helped one of the dogs we had for almost a year.

Lola came in as a stray at the end of 2022 with two puppies. The puppies were adopted, but she was still here 11 months later. The grant was able to get her adopted.
