Barney was a kitten we rescued from the Arizona Humane Society. He was on the euthanasia list due to a bone-growth abnormality resulting in deformed front legs. We were able to keep him in foster for 10 months to allow his bones to mature. His legs remain slightly shorter, but are no longer bowed, and they are of equal length. Barney is fully functional, and in no pain, and he did not require amputation or corrective surgery — just time. Barney was adopted on May 30, 2020!
