Friends of Horseshoe Bend Animals: A Shot at Life Vaccination Grant Report

How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

Vaccinating incoming kittens and cats at the Horseshoe Bend Animal Control.

The vaccinations insures healthier kittens and cats for adoptions. It is a vaccine we would not normally be able to provide to the feline friends we have at the AC.

How many pets did this grant help?

At this time, three cats have been vaccinated.

Please provide a story of one or more specific pets this grant helped.

Our cats were infected with the Rhino virus at Animal Control, and it was necessary to isolate any incomig cats so they would not be exposed. These two, Rambo and Maude, were able to be vaccinated after being in quarantine (per the vet’s advice). We only recently have been able to take in any cats. If we had not had these vaccinations, there was a good chance Rambo and Maude would have had to be put down.
