How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

The product was used to treat the felines we have on the adoption floor, our felines in foster, and to help with needy families through our Pet Pantry program.

This provided enrichment for the felines in all departments and aspects of the shelter and programs. This was helpful as it allowed for monies to be spent on other necessary items with the feline population.

We have two elderly women who come into the shelter four times a week solely to socialize with our adoptable cats and kittens. These women gather donated supplies to help them help the felines. They were very excited to have so many treats to give out to various different felines during their socialization time. This supply was able to last over a few months’ time and give enjoyment to cats and kittens who are already in an uncomfortable and stressed-out environment, alleviating some of their stress before they find their forever homes.
