Please provide a story of one or more specific pets this grant helped.

Summit is an Australian Shepard mix. He was attacked by “a big dog” when he was about 7 or 8 weeks old. That attack broke his back as well as his pelvis. Before he was brought here, he had never tried to walk. After the accident, he was the only dog in the home and he did not know anything but sliding on his hip to get around. He has learned to walk, sort of, since he has been here. He now walks about 40-45% of the time. We used Coban self-adherent wrap and duct tape to make him “socks” to avoid drag wounds on his feet. Summit is one of the happiest, most care-free dogs we have ever had the pleasure of helping! He is still here waiting for his forever family to show up!
