Our grant programs are designed to help adoption organizations improve the lives of their adoptable pets. Shelters and rescue groups that post their pets on Petfinder.com are eligible to apply for grants.
How It Works
New to the Petfinder Foundation grant process? Applying for a grant is as easy as 1-2-3.
Set up a profile in our grant portal, fill out an application for one of our available grants, and submit.
Our team reviews applications for each open grant on a monthly basis. We’ll email you if you’re approved.
After putting your funds or products to work, complete a brief grant report on our website.

Visit our grant portal to create an account or log in, apply for open grants, and check the status of your submitted applications.
Each grant has its own requirements. However, to be eligible for ANY Petfinder Foundation grant, your organization must have:
You must actively post your adoptable pets on Petfinder.com and maintain up-to-date pet listings.
You’ll be asked for your organization’s EIN or tax ID number and monthly intake and adoption numbers.
Your organization should be self-sustaining as reported on your most recent form 990.
Complete a Grant Report
Portions of your report will be published on our website, so be sure to include plenty of detail and clear photos.
